Urgent Proposal Against New Coronavirus: Proposal of Virucidal Drug

Introduction

Last time (pointing to an article available in Japanese only) , I showed that a 70% aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol (ethanol) denatures the white of chicken egg, while according to the therein cited reference [1], there is a difference in the effect depending on the ethanol concentration. It says: When the concentration is 8 to 20%, the cell membrane is damaged, intracellular components leak, and the bacteria die of starvation due to mechanisms such as transport enzyme inhibition. The time to death widely ranges from 30 minutes to 48 hours. In the case of 40 to 80%, the cell membrane and protein structure are rapidly denatured and destroyed, resulting in the death within 5 minutes.
The result of my previous experiment was that: When mixed with 70% aqueous solution, the egg white immediately began to turn cloudy and the solidification was complete after 5 minutes, while in the case of 10% solution, only partial white turbidity of egg white appeared on the surface, and no major change was observed. So let us get to the main subject.

Antiviral effect of bamboo vinegar

As mentioned some time ago, pharmacological effects of bamboo vinegar on atopic dermatitis, diabetes, periondontal bacteria, etc. have been empirically known, but its use has been hampered by the barrier of reductionism-based Western medicine. However, with the advent of the new coronavirus, I can only hope that this wall will move toward collapse just like the Berlin wall and will be converted into medicine based on the intrinsic sense of cherishing irreplaceable lives.
Now let us proceed to an experiment with the following procedure under the motto “Simple is best”.
① Add undiluted bamboo vinegar to the white of chicken egg
② Add 100% acetic acid to egg white
③ Add 10% acetic acid to egg white
④ Add 10% ethanol to egg white
⑤ Add either 70% ethanol or bamboo vinegar to red rust of iron (trivalent iron ion) for the comparison of their redox function
The results were as follows:
① When egg white and undiluted bamboo vinegar were mixed at a ratio of 1:2, the egg white began to turn cloudy and solidified in 5 minutes.
② When egg white and 100% acetic acid were mixed at a ratio of 1:1, the egg white became cloudy and solidified instantly.
③ When egg white and 10% acetic acid were mixed at a ratio of 1:1, the egg white slowly turned cloudy and solidified gradually.
④ When egg white and 10% ethanol were mixed at a ratio of 1:1, white turbidity appeared slowly and solidification proceeded gradually, similarly but more slowly than in the case of ③.
Comparing the four experimental results (① to ④) and that of 70% ethanol case shown in the previous article, the following discussion can be made:
Bamboo vinegar is a mixture containing 90% water and the remaining 10% multi-components on average, in the latter of which acetic acid is the main component but a wide variety of additional components (principal ones alone counting 33) such as ketones, ones belonging to the same carboxylic acid group as acetic acid, alcohols, aldehydes, cyclic esters, and phenols are contained, just to name a few. From the observation that the effect on egg white of bamboo vinegar was closer to that of 70% ethanol than that of 10% acetic acid, it seems that those multiple components function cooperatively and contribute to protein denaturation and coagulation. Speculating that this is perhaps because bamboo vinegar has a strong reducing effect, I added bamboo vinegar to an aqueous solution of iron red rust (trivalent iron ion), the result of which was that the red rust transformed into black rust (ferric iron ion) and the liquid became completely black within the short time of my observation (Picture⑤, right).
Putting these experimental results together, it was found that bamboo vinegar has the function of denaturing and coagulating proteins with its strong reducing power. It is therefore natural to expect that bamboo vinegar kills the new coronavirus itself by completely denaturing its protein structure.

Proposal of virucidal drugs based on the function of bamboo vinegar

Under the pandemic of new coronavirus yet to converge, the concrete measures at hand should include, in addition to the development of vaccines, urgent production of virucidal drugs that exploit the function of bamboo vinegar demonstrated above.
I would like to propose to quantitatively analyze the composition of bamboo vinegar, and then to make synthetic bamboo vinegar by mixing each component based on the analytical result. This method would radically eradicate the new coronavirus without spending enormous development costs, saving a lot of innocent people while simultaneously providing a path toward recovery from economic damage.
I cannot stop wishing for the wise decision of everyone involved.

Proposal Against New Coronavirus: Peculiar Adherence of Medical Professionals

The NHK BS1 program from 8pm August 17th on the theme of “researchers who never stop challenging” reported the medical forefront against the new coronavirus. It mainly focused on the study by Kawaoka lab at the University of Tokyo, which had obtained an 'unexpected' result of suppression of virus multiplication down to a thousandth after 24 hours in the culture medium with serum taken from a hamster that had generated an antibody against the administered virus, compared to the case without such serum. It is nothing more than an example of conventional serum therapies.

 The program also said the number of viruses within a 1mm-diameter droplet from sneeze reaches seven million, which indicates the presence of approximately seven thousand residual viruses even after a treatment based on the experimental finding. It is possible that some of the surviving viruses have already created an antibody against the original antibody; Such easily variable nature of the genomic sequence of RNA (the main constituent of viruses) can be inferred from the fact that humans can create artificial viruses. Such a series of nonsense studies is just helping the virus to develop more and more strong resistance.

 Turning to a newspaper article, people have rushed in no time to drugstores for povidone iodine, following the Osaka prefectural governor Yoshimura’s announcement that gargling with it is effective. What a striking contrast it makes to the reaction by no more than a few hundred people to my proposition on Facebook that you can kill the virus by applying iodine tincture on your mask! This illustrates very clearly how vulnerable the general public is to the power and authority and how it is ignorant about science. Isn’t it the responsibility of leaders like health professionals and the governor Yoshimura to devise clear measures to relieve quite a few such people as surprise me by wearing a mask while taking a walk in the woods around my institute in Mikumo district (Konan city, Shiga prefecture)? 
 I am unspeakably shocked to see the above-mentioned ignorant studies being publicly carried out at the nation’s top medical school and proudly parroted by a commentator.

Proposal of Revising Helpless Measures Against the Virus

Despite remarkable progress in modern medicine, it appears to be limited in certain realms of medical techniques, given the globally revealed absence of fundamental measures against COVID-19.  Regarding the approach against viruses, in particular, professionals seem to be stuck in the idea of smallpox vaccine by E. Jenner.  While Pfizer recently claimed that its vaccine against COVID-19 was more than 90% effective, (even if it is accepted,) there remains a practical obstacle of required refrigeration at ultra low temperatures.  As I have repeated, fight against a virus using vaccines will be endless, since the virus can easily modify its antigen, on which the vaccines rely through the antigen-antibody mechanism.  While we are in chaos once the time has come when our own lives are at stake, 300 thousand cattle and 330 thousand chickens were slaughtered because of foot-and-mouth disease(FMD) in Miyazaki prefecture ten years ago and highly pathogenic avian influenza in Kagawa prefecture very recently, respectively.  The same has been the case regarding hog cholera, thus all kinds of animals but humans having been killed.  Considering that no vaccines have been developed for those precious beings supporting our lives, the fever of devising vaccines for humans is unlikely to go beyond a makeshift against symptoms.  Devising a proper mold (antibody) from innumerable possible combinations, which is just like assembling a jigsaw puzzle in nanometer scale, is unrealistic.  Don’t the researchers realize this despite amazing achievements in the field of genomic analysis?

 

At the time of FMD ten years ago, I proposed to Mr. Higashikokubaru, the then prefectural governor of Miyazaki and TV personality, disinfecting the cattle by bathing them in bamboo vinegar (BV) and spraying BV in the cowsheds for suppressing the spread, which was ignored.  Also, concerning the Ebola in Africa, I sent bottled BV to a doctor who was then the head of the Japanese branch of Doctors Without Borders, which was sent back without being tried.

 

By remembering that viruses have DNA or RNA, it should be obvious that one can stop their activities by denaturing the amino acids constituting such structures.  A few months ago, I demonstrated by experiments using egg white that BV, in which effective components make up only 10% of the whole, instantly denatures the egg white just as 70-80% aqueous solution of ethanol does, and that BV possesses a strong reducing function as well.  Unlike a high concentration of ethanol, BV has no risk of explosion, and moreover, not being volatile, it maintains its effects for a long time.


Anyway, it is amazing how ignorant and incompetent are the politicians around the world.  Once again, there is no choice but to deploy VIRUCIDES to suppress the COVID-19 pandemic.  I cannot but wish for a few, if not many, sensible doctors and politicians full of sensitivity toward all lives
